In the Administration section select Site > Control Panel then click on Global Configuaration. From here you need to select Server and directly below there will be a box called Server Settings. Tick the "Yes" box next to GZIP Page Compression, click save and you're finished. There should be a noticable decrease in page load times, particularly on slower internet connections.

To test how much bandwidth you are saving with GZIP page compression enabled you can run a test at whatsmyip.org. If you want more detailed information you can run a similar test over at gidnetwork.com.
